Andy Melton reached out to me a few years ago about updating the photos for his counseling practice and taking a few head shots, and over the past few years, I’ve been able to come in and photograph new office spaces and new employees. I’ve never shared the photos on my blog, so I decided that now was the time! Head shots can be daunting for many (honestly sometimes they still are for me), and they can be a classic smiling photo in front of a plain background, BUT they can also be a lot of fun and carry a lot of personality. That’s my heart behind even the simplest head shot sessions. Enough of the screen backdrops, let’s get you in the place where you live and work, and they will be quick, painless, and beautiful. Here are a few from my most recent session with Melton Counseling Group!

Let’s talk a little bit about commercial shoots and branding sessions, shall we? I’m not sure where exactly my newfound passion for these shoots came from, but this year I’m very excited to offer more sessions than I have in the past. As I’ve had the amazing gift of watching my own business flourish in the past few years, I want to help other entrepreneurs and businesses and dreamers reach and experience that same joy. Starting out a business requires a lot of time and energy across the board, from Instagram and website to business cards and networking, and doing these things well at the beginning will take you miles down the road. People love consistency in imagery, whether in the perfect Instagram grid or a Facebook album, and this is something that is very easily attained with a branding session! We can dream up a mood board, write out all that you hope to convey through your internet presence, and spend a morning or an afternoon making it happen. This is about you, your space, and your work.

I want to give you photos that show you in your element, and photos that you can be proud of. Running a business is so fun, but so hard, and you’re doing it! So congratulations. One part celebration and one part marketing, branding sessions are my current favorite category of photography.
