Brooks and Jenny were married on a chilly April day at Barn in the Bend, just outside of Nashville. Every little detail of their day was simple, elegant, and personal, from Brooks’s grandmother putting together her tray of cookies to two of the bridesmaids putting finishing touches on the floral arrangements before the ceremony. The wedding was small, which made for an even sweeter ceremony and wilder dance floor (be sure to scroll all the way down for those classic dance shots, they did NOT disappoint). I’m pretty sure I said this in their engagement blog, but Jenny and Brooks are two of the kindest people I know, and this wedding was something special! Unexpected rain plans and all, spirits were high. Here are a few of my favorites from their day at Barn in the Bend!

What part of marriage are you most excited for?
“Oh boy! So many things! On a basic level, we’re excited to finally live in the same place and build a home together. Also just getting to be with your best friend all the time sounds amazing. Beyond that, we’re excited to continue learning and growing together in our relationship with one another and in our relationship with God. Marriage is no small thing and everything we’ve read and been told suggests that it’s probably the hardest yet most beautiful thing we’ll ever do. There’s something exciting about that and I look forward to learning how to steward this gift well (knowing we’re both going to mess it up a lot in the process). I’m also excited to walk through everything life throws at us together. We’ve gone through a lot in 3 years and I’m thankful and excited that we get to continue that journey in marriage!” – Jenny
